The high point of this week was apparently me clogging the office toilet this morning and needing to call the building strata for a plumber. This is because according to the Roto-Rooter guy, having him in today about the clog (which turns out not to actually be my fault) means that I didn't walk into the office on Monday to find the floor three inches deep in raw sewage. The area is prone to developing horrible sewer issues because (and this is a direct quote from a certified plumbing professional), "The sewer system in this block doesn't have nearly enough gravity."

Okay then. Good to know. (I know what he meant by that really, it just seemed an amusing way to put it)

The rest of the week was even more unspeakable, and it shall not be spoken of.

I'm off (sort of) adventuring tomorrow, yay. I still haven't watched through the Sherlock Special. I had a schedule and plans, but then Work happened everywhere and nope. Blah. So I'm still avoiding most of the internet. Hope you are all doing well.

RL has ambushed me with crazy crazy time-suck as it always does in the spring, and it started far earlier than usual this year, starting in February, but I haven't had a chance to put up the annual "RL is eating me" note until now.

On the fannish side, I am still avoiding large swathes of the Internet as I am still less than halfway through watching Sherlock 3.03 and don't want to know more than I've already accidently found out (:-/). Everything else is on hold until May or June, unless small things manage to sneak out the cracks. :-P

For the next several months, my RL work schedule is incredibly insane and I will have little to no time or brain to do things like cleaning and cooking, let alone anything fun, social or fandom-related. I will try to keep up on the SPN picspams, but if I do get a chance to watch the episodes, any reaction posts I do will most likely be delayed and shorter than usual. I may also be very weird and random as I try to stay sane during this period.

(I posted something about this under f-lock, but given the very sweet but incredibly frustrating PM I just got from someone asking me to undertake a fannish project that would take three weeks to do at a normal work schedule, I felt it was necessary to make a general information post.)

ETA: Since 8.16 aired on Feb 20th, I've managed to watch 12 17 minutes of it. Soooooo... yeah. Delay is a good word for it.

Co-worker's spouse to her small visiting grandchild: And what are the names of Santa's reindeer, honey?

Small grandchild: Rudolph.... and Cheeto.... and FALCOR!

Me: \o/

Why the heck not? :-D

(Not relevant to most of you since for the most part you aren't Canadian, but tales of Government Fail are usually universally appreciated.)

Oh dear. )
