This is heartbreaking, and that cursive font makes it all the worse.

It was a search to find that font. Everything else was either too fancy or too modern. I'm still not entirely happy with it, the loops of the 't's bug me.

I'm glad it feels genuine. It's a hard tone to hit.

Knowing Mycroft in general, if he sent anything back it was very formal acknowledgement of the condolences and a return of the same, all worded in a way that could be taken as condolence for the loss of Holmes, or apologies for Holmes' faked death putting Watson through hell.
