I been thinkin'...
Since I said somewhere that I'd post this theory after I posted Part 2 of that crossover that I wish I'd put a shorter title on...
Just a theory about the new blond from 3.01. Note, theory. Not based on anything but what has been aired to date in North America. NO SPOILERS, JUST THEORY.
Please please please do not put any spoilers at all in comments. See sidebar for definition of spoiler.
I am thinking the new blond girl is some kind of hell-sent bodyguard for Sam the "Boy-King" to keep him from getting offed before he gets his demon-blood-fed-baby-psychic mojo up to speed, as arranged by YED before his demise.
Which to me would explain everything, including why she's following Sam, how she's just there all of a sudden and then gone, why she's such a poser, what's up with the magic knife and how can she have such a complete lack of qualms about slashing people's throats just 'coz they're possessed. If that's true, besides bodyguarding, I suspect maybe she'll be nudging Sam towards the 'Dark Side', one way or another, which works in with the predictions I had for season 3, so yay!
And, if all this turns out to be the case as revealed in the fullness of time... I think I might really like the character.
*sits back and trusts Kripke*
Again, if you know any spoilers that confirm or deny this theory DO NOT POST THEM HERE, PLEASE!!!

I dunno what it is with me. I only liked Meg after she turned out to be evil too. *head scratch*

Also, do you mind episode titles? Or, rather, do those count as spoilers, even if they're only the subject line of a post on the same Thursday the ep airs?

And yes, that kind of makes me a freak. :-)

Like I said. I'm a freak :-D

*giggle* I have a person or two on my f-list who post live reactions from the east coast, so I definitely hermit up at about 3PM and try not to get back on until after I've seen the nights ep, so no worries! :-)

'Escapee from Hell' seems to be the best explanation so far. And yeah, anything else but her being '100% Pure Human' would float my boat. (Save for that Grandchild of a Gypsy Witch and his Demon Lover-idea...)
She wouldn't trouble me nearly as much if they hadn't featured Tamara in the same damn episode. Because Tamara seems like her polar opposite: perfectly believable as a hunter and fighter. But since they did...
I hope you'll be wearing a nice whitish, lacy negligee in the future.
Yours,
Sade
My husband suggested in the aftermath of 3x01 that maybe it's not the blonde, but the blade. That the girl's just... an extension of the knife she wields.
Or heck, maybe she's the embodiment of Sam's mad PsyKid-skills... Or perhaps dying 'broke' Sam and now he's inhabiting two bodies: the 'yang' wearing the face we know, the 'ying' in the blond. Would explain why she's where Sam is. 'Dark' to his 'Light'? *ponders*

Just so you know.

Yes, no half-unicorn, half-fairy tragic lost princesses who can kick anyone's ass thx. The blond is a dye job see, her hair is actually lavender. With a pearlescent sheen.
The extension of the blade thing is cool, but I fear it as it may mean when the actresses contract is up, she'll return to the blade and Sam will end up carting around a bitchy magic talking knife and the whole show will become a cartoon of itself. That yin/yang-dark/light concept is also cool, but on that one I'm thinking the CW execs wouldn't understand it. Although they probably wouldn't care, as long as she was blond and had breasts ;-P
I think until they say otherwise, I'm going to assume she's actually got a decent reason for being such a total poser and... not actively hate her. Once she's revealed to be the lost princess of the fairy realm, or god forbid, some illegitimate offspring of John's, however, then I'll commence hating her with the fury of a thousand suns. *nods*.

(One way or another... bwahahaha....*sharpens implements of doom*)

The problem with those ideas was that they were rather cracktastic. To think of trying to explain them on tv...*shudder*
In conclusion: Blondie, your wardrobe had an accident and that frilly princess-dress you were dying to wear? Is no more. Please continue to delight. And allow Sam do naughty things.
*hugs you 'cause you're awesome*

OMG the kinky het porn that's going to be generated by this little revelation!
*koff* Um. I mean I have no idea what you mean by that... *is innocent*

The antagonistic, bitter sex is just waiting to happen between Sam and Buffy... I wonder how strict CW's about that, though. There's the fact that last season they had Sam taking Madison from behind and biting...

I still don't get what's so shocking about the Sam'N'Madison sex though. It seemed rather vanilla to me. *scratches head*
Also, someone oh, so helpfully all-caps'd in an open post on the forum I was reading at the time "SAM HAS SEX WITH A WEREWOLF!!!" about a month before the ep aired, so I spent half the episode going "Okay they're going to do it now. No? Okay, now. Not yet? Okay, now. Come on, get it over with so I can stop being distracted by when- oh, there you go. Finally. Now, what was the plot?"
This is why I don't like spoilers or foilers. My brain stops paying attention because there's nothing to figure out, and I don't get that nifty time-diation effect of being so thoroughly absorbed in the show, watching for hints and clues that the episode feels like it's longer than an hour. "Kids" seriously felt like it was three hours long and they were all awesome. :-)
Anyway, babbling, sorry. :-) *goes back to win_non_con Scavenger hunt*

*shrug* All I know is that the necking Sam was doing... I had to take a moment. Prime vampire-fodder right here. :D
I've noticed that too: learning about something before seeing the episode makes me just go into 'waiting mode', unable to really concentrate on the show in general. Annoying as hell.
"Kids" was an awesome episode: it had everything (save extensive, long Sam'n'Dean-scenes) and was well-balanced.
