Update Re: CityTV not airing sci-fi shows anymore
Supernatural and sci-fi shows formerly airing on CityTV, possible news.
Here is a direct quote (with permission) from a response my friend S. received from CityTV to her e-mail regarding the removal of all sci-fi programs from CityTV's fall line-up.:
"During our takeover from CHUM to Roger's, CTV had owned us for a short time and had acquired some of our programming. Some of the shows that will not be showing up in our fall lineup are Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica and the Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1."
"I am not sure at this point when CTV will be airing these shows."
General Jist from CityTV: "Go spam CTV if you want to see your shows." Maybe?
So, while I wouldn't advise spamming CTV, since if they do have the broadcast rights or however that works, we want them to feel as positive as possible about them, here's the CTV contact page. Interested queries might put a bigger shine on them airing the shows at a decent time, and not, say 1 AM Sunday like they did for Farscape. At least I think it was them.
I've sent them an e-mail asking about their fall schedule that borders on desperate pleading, but in a tasteful, positive and intelligent way. I hope. :-P

There's apparently been quite a bit of ownership dressage with CityTV lately, and CTV made off with some bits before selling it to Rogers. CTV may have the Space channel too now. I did find a small article on new shows coming to CTV and A-channel, and none of the above shows were mentioned, but it was mentioned that A-channel was going to be the one to go to for anything more actiony. So maybe it'll be on A-Channel....
I'm not sure who to ask what at this rate. :-P

but it would make more sense to put it on A-channel - Smallville is already there.. make up a good thursday night lineup for them AND it'd still be on basic right??
oh and the etalk interview MAY still be up online on the ctv page.. no ideas though... I'm not sure toooo many people caught it. It was just luck of the draw for me :)
