Quick report on the state of the CaffieneKitty

So. Worked late last night would have been later except for brownouts (moderate windstorm last night in Southwest BC, power out to 30,000 homes), got home to internet going off-n-on-n-off rapidly and randomly, power still browning out severely. Got very little done since I was trying to catch the 'net while it was up and kept losing things into the ether, gah, go to bed.

Of course, power goes out during the night just long enough to unset every time-keeping device (and I'm guessing all my VCR programming too, no time to check) but not long enough for work to believe me, since theirs wasn't off and I must be on the same power grid because I work there. *eyeroll*

Was late, am now working all day today 'til late again and still have not had a chance to check my f-list (which was on skip=90 last time I looked) or respond to more than the first few comments on the 4.03 stuff I posted, (and am late on a ficlet for [livejournal.com profile] charis_kalos which, barring power failure, or continued internet connection freaky-ness, should be up late tonight, I hope).

And sometime during that process, my toaster exploded. I tried to use it, it wouldn't stay down at all and there were big blue sparks and smoke everywhere. And before anyone asks, no, to my knowledge John Winchester was nowhere near it, or my evening would have gone muuuuch differently.

Arg.

Anyway, general gist, I'm not ignoring you guys, I'm just being ambushed by Life and Weather. :-P

Methinks you got our midday Weather last night. Or your Weather last night just got here. Either way, I'm sorry to hear it. I hope it clears up there!

I am loving that image of the toaster, btw. Totally sympathize, but I like the image. ^^

::hugs you lots::

I'm in a writing sort of mood (except for the part of my brain slowly being eaten by making Carlson icons) so if you'd like to prompt me for something to cheer you up I'm totally game.

Hey, we had that weather too! I had a friend staying with me for my ordination and I took him up the top of my local mountain where we were ambushed by rain and hail and high winds. It's spring here! Bad weather!

When you get round to checking your flist, I've stuck a few photos of my ordination on my journal.

And I'm very much looking forward to reading my fic, but as a Rev. I am now full of patience (that's actually a lie and as a demon told Dean, lying is a sin - oops) and can wait.

Have now seen 4.01 and 4.02 and at some point will respond to your reaction post with my theological hat on.

Good luck with Life and Weather.

Don't cha hate when the weather is out to get you?

I long ago gave up trying to keep up with the whole flist. I am a terrible flister. Feel free to skip my posts. lol *hugs*

hey there
I think the whole wind and your toaster had something to do with the meteoroid blowing up in the Nubian Desert.

really!! Chaos Theory. not your cat this time :)
anyways, that is my theory. Mind you, my theory for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was the prince being Hermione.
Lurking Wombat sends you a hug and keeps well away from your toaster

Aw. Well, the offer stands if you change your mind. And in the meantime, have lots of hugs and good vibes.

Yay for sunshine! I have a suspicion that won't be lasting much longer…. :(
