Well, isn't that interesting...
So, LJ lays off a bunch of people, aaaaaand LJ goes down for a while. Hmm.... Maybe someone unplugged the server on their way out? XD
Anyway, last night, like many, many other people, I made abomb shelter backup journal over at insanejournal. It's very no frills. The icons, links, tags and graphics may all be screwed (since the links didn't localize and the graphics aren't uploaded over there yet), nothing with a poll attached would port over, and the frigging eye-bleedingly horrible ads are smacked all over the free accounts (I don't mind ads because, hey, free, but my god what hideous dancing baloney! :-P) but it's a backup *shrug*. Just in case.
The majority of my posts here are mirrored there now. I will try to keep it updated, and I may blather over there if LJ is unavailable. Otherwise, I'm staying here at LJ as long as it lasts.
In the meantime, work is hell, I am way behind on writing, the snow has disappeared and I'm crossing all my crossable appendages for the People's Choice Awards tonight! ;-)
