Random observations of the day

At work today, I did some paper-shuffling for a local Karate school and two things made me raise an eyebrow...

-If you have enrolled your son in Karate classes to boost his self-confidence, you may want to consider not registering him by the nickname of "Rat-Boy"

-Also, if the person teaching you Karate has written in your appointment block the words "Beat on Steve with stick", it might not be a fun session. Not for you at least.

In vaguely Supernatural related randomness...

I was randomly looking up plants that do okay in shade, just in case I felt like killing something slowly with my horrible gardening incompetence having a plant on my deck. Here's the list I found. Included on the list of possible shade plants are a few different varieties of 'Archangel' plant and the 'Solomon's Seal' plant. I could have a Supernatural deck garden (briefly before it all dies). Hee! :-D

In other randomness...

It's freakishly hot, the crazy is out in full force in the mundane world and my upstairs neighbours seem to have decided to train their elephant how to roller-skate at midnight tonight.

Maybe if you water your plants with holy water they'll live longer. *snert*

Don't forget to adorn your garden with shotgun shells, rock salt, and a little toy Impala. Hang some dead bunnies up, you know, for luck.

...people in my building might assume I'm a witch and stop annoying me.

After you paint the Devil's Trap on the ceiling, they'll definitely avoid you.

33 late afternoon yesterday apparently :(

ooooo, an SPN garden would be COOL! that's such a good idea!! (I may have to steal that one of these days :) )
(Solomon's Seal is a neat plant btw - it grows fairly tall and smells of melon when it blooms :) )

Loove the garden idea--my flowers are all high sun since they are out in the desert, I mean in front of the door. I would say some Nightshade might be good, but wouldn't want any strays eating it either:P On the Karate thing--if you name your son Rat-Boy(still pondering what freak would do that), I really hope it doesn't mean he lives in a cage and drinks from a squeeze bottle? Ok blaming that on the heat, maybe. Little better here today, but damn it is nuts, and people--whoa.

Hugs

Oh, and don't forget to put a cross or two in the windows (maybe a plain one painted black?)

Oh, and you need black lace curtains and some candles in the windows. (Candles do not have to be lit.) If you borrow arcane stuff from the show, you can make little arcane drawings on the candles!

Get that Elmer's glue with the little pointy tip, sort of draw your symbols with the glue, pour some glitter on a paper plate, and then roll the candle in the glitter. Make sure the glue is starting to get a bit stiff before you roll it in the glitter or your glitter symbols will run.

Now that ought to REALLY scare your neighbors.

That's got to be a plot bunny there. Why does Ratboy live in a cage and drink from a squeeze bottle?

Is he a wererat?

I actually have enough stuff in my garden to do some rituals... Got me some meadowsweet today while shopping... But as most of the protective herbs can be used as spices, nobody thinks I'm a witch - and I defenitely am no witch. But it's nice to know what you COULD do...
