Life's pretty good.
It's my birthday, and I don't need to go into work because it's Sunday. I'm having pizza and chocolate fudge brownie cheesecake for breakfast (and I'm going to clean out my change bank and go find myself a cappuccino of some description soonish once I get out of my PJ's *has no money and no urge to get out of PJ's, so settles for tea*) while scrambling to get a reaction picspam for 5.15 together and posted by Monday, after which I can read my f-list and respond to comments and stuff. :-D
For my birthday this year, I've given myself -- well, I don't know if it's a gift or a punishment yet although I have my suspicions -- the latest Supernatural novel "Heart of the Dragon". Also, I've given myself a raincheck to go on a short road trip and have fun with my friends when tax season is done with, because right now I'm working long hours six days a week and lucky to still be getting Sundays off. :-P
In other fan-related birthday news, I knew I had the exact to-the-year same birthday as Nick Frost ("Shaun of the Dead", "Hot Fuzz", he plays the gormless one) but I've just realized that I also have the same birthday (month and day) as Gareth David Lloyd, the guy who plays Ianto on Torchwood! Woo! \o/

Road trip sounds good. I'm still waiting for Work to lighten up so I can even start thinking about one. Ghhaaaahhhh.
Enjoy your day!

I hope you'll enjoy the novel (at least more than the last ones) and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to get through tax-season somewhat sane ;)

I hope you enjoyed your birthday, and that you were not snowed in, and if you'd like a drabble for your very own, please speak up! :)

I hope the novel isn't as horrible as the rest;)
One can hope. :-)

I probably won't actually get a chance to read it until summer, so maybe it will improve with age?

I think the main problem with the novels is that they're being written by professional tie-in writers. Speed and quantity over quality and verisimilitude. :-P
