Sherlock Recs

Only three recs this week, I didn't get in nearly as much fic-reading time as usual.

GEN

God Save the Queen by [livejournal.com profile] alice_day
Summary: Sherlock takes on a case from a very special client, and John is gobsmacked.
(Gen, regardless of what the Queen may think.)

Assume the Perpendicular by [livejournal.com profile] r_scribbles
It's Sherlock's Birthday, much to his annoyance. More annoying still is the fact that his brother has turned up with a picnic hamper and a card before he's so much as finished brushing his teeth. A jolly day out ensues. Swans! Scones! Benjamin Britten and a two-man snowball re-enactment of the Battle of Agincourt!
(Contains involuntary drug-use and dub-con merriment of an entirely non-sexual nature. Also a not-insignificant amount of crack. Inspired by a Twitter RP.)

'SQUINT'*

Inroads by [livejournal.com profile] emungere
Prompt: "I've seen lots of mention of Sherlock's skin being cold, so I wanted to prompt the opposite. Sherlock is one of those people who is always exceptionally warm, constantly emitting body heat.(...)"
(Quite adorable.)

*Squint = If you look at it one way, it's plain Gen, if you squint, you might see slash or pre-slash.

If you've seen something amazing that you think more people in the Sherlock fandom should have the chance to enjoy, please rec it at the main Sunday Recday post at [livejournal.com profile] sherlockbbc.

Thanks for compiling these!

er... say, are they all... well, the titles?

They're all called "God Save the Queen"? :D

I did love that second one. It was quite nice in an inappropriately creepy sort of way. Off to check out the others now!

(I need to do this all in capitals so please forgive me.) I SAW A STUDY IN PINK LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS BRILLIANT AND THEY'RE SCREENING THE SECOND AND THIRD MYSTERIES TONIGHT AND TOMORROW NIGHT AND I'VE BEEN A FAN OF HOLMES AND WATSON SINCE I WAS A KID AND THE UPDATING WAS BRILLIANT AND I'M SO EXCITED!
