Short Supernatural Season Seven Speculation...

...sssssss. Sorry, I didn't intend to alliterate but I couldn't stop.

I had a thought today regarding SPN Season Seven, and I'm guessing a lot of other people have already had it, but I thought I'd share.

SO! We left off with Castiel in Crowley's lab, stuffed to bursting full of millions of monster souls and saying he's the new and improved God now, bow down and be awed or he'll kick your ass et cetera.

Know what else is stashed in Crowley's lab somewhere still, probably?

Eve.

Dead, yes, artfully filleted, yes, yet still connected to her kids and still laying eggs. Now, that was a rather big and pointedly explained thing to go on the 'Wall of Things that Will Likely Turn Up Again in Future' at the end of last season and not get used by the finale. I'm thinking something like this...

Castiel: I AM YOUR NEW GOD! ALL SHALL LOVE ME AND DESPAIR! No wait, I mean BOW DOWN AND PROFESS YOUR LOVE UNTO ME OR I SHALL DESTROY YOU!

Eve: *emits big mama monster vibes from wherever Crowley stashed her*

Monster souls: Wait... Mom?

Castiel: I suddenly feel... odd... *hworfs out escaping monster souls and collapses*

Monster souls: Oh look, masses of eggs, ready to go! *inhabit eggs in some handwavey monster biology way (you watch the show, you know what I mean)*

Monster eggs: *start going off like time-lapse popcorn*

Dean Bobby and Sam: HOLY CRAP, RUN! *grab semi-conscious Castiel and drag him out of the room slowly filling with monsters*

Castiel: *wakes up enough to poof the car fixed and do something for Sam (that doesn't involve re-instating the Hell Wall because he's integrated now, I dunno, some kind of angel-installed 'happy place'?) and apologize for being a power-mad ninny before completely passing out in the back seat across someone's lap*

Impala: *roars off triumphantly into the night with her family*

*New title card*

Leaving us for the remainder of season seven with Dean and Sam hunting masses of monsters with Bobby's home base support and semi-frequent ride-along support. Castiel would be contrite about the whole God thing (until somewhere in the first half of the season when they tell him to stop apologizing because they get it, and if they can get past demon blood and deals with demons and soullessness etc they can get past Castiel briefly being God because he's family even though he denied having a family at all let alone them, but he was huffing monster souls at the time so it totally doesn't count, cue the family theme music and hugging) and be a little busy trying to keep anything too nasty from taking over Heaven, (I still think he should deputize Ash and the other hunters hanging out at the Heavenly Roadhouse somehow, just 'cause) but still popping in here and there to help or just hang out and stuff.

Also Crowley showing up once in a while to be Snarky Evil, and Death showing up once in a while to be Snarky Enigmatic and Balthazar turning out to not actually have died since there was no wing-burn, etc. and wandering around being Snarky Technically-Good-But-Primarily-Self-Interested. But mostly boys (specifically two to four boys, some angelic and some over fifty) in a kick-ass car (or two) hunting monsters.

Anyway something like that. Mostly the "Monster souls + Monster eggs = BOOM" part is the actual speculation and idea, the rest is just wishful thinking. It just seems awfully convenient for the souls and eggs to be hypothetically all together like that... Also, you know, family and stuff, so it fits the show theme, since the Winchesters originally (in this generation) set out on the road after Mary was killed, so all the thousands or millions of monsters (how fast does Eve's corpse lay eggs?) launching out across the lower 48 from Fictional City, Kansas (freaking Kansas) would be on the same sort of parallel matricide vengeance trip thingamawhatsit *handwaves*.

It's been a long day, this is as much brain as I have.

Of course my "OMG this is totally going to be what happens (but maybe a bit less cracky)!" theories for season four and five turned out to be waaaaay off, but I had the thought and thought I'd share it. It's what I'd do (with some different details) if I was GMing a game with this situation, but I'm sometimes a really mean GM.

Please no actual spoilers (see sidebar) for season seven in comments, and please play nice! :-D
