I want to share this video. I've been dithering about making this post since I first saw this video yesterday, which is one reason why I think I really need to post this, even though I'm sure other people have as well.

It's not fannish, but I have the feeling some people who visit my page now and then might identify with some part of this. It's about bullying, self-identity and survival, and that's putting it far too simply.


Triggers and warnings: Contains references to and depictions of depression, self-harm, bullying, drug use, child abuse, and lots of hurt. It might make you cry.

Oh, WOW. I've been there. Thank you for sharing - nobody on FB has been leaving any descs about the contents of the video aside from "Pork Chop" and the video with it is just him onstage, so I didn't bother watching because I figured it was a stupid comedy routine. Glad I watched it now, and I shared it too.

Absolutely. Apparently Dan Savage commented on how wonderful it was as well, and Shane was thrilled. It is getting quite a bit of attention, which is brilliant. I hope everyone who needs to see it, does.
