Doctor Who Premiere
-"Door. Boring. Not me."
-"Shut up, I was talking to the horse."
-"It's all right up to the eyebrows but then it goes haywire. Look at the eyebrows! These are attack eyebrows! You could take bottle-tops off with these!"
-The whole Scottish thing.
I think Capaldi will do. *nods*
Also, MORE VASTRA AND JENNY AND STRAX!!!
-That whole bit with appearance and veils and stuff. "When did you stop wearing your veil?"/"When you stopped seeing it."
-"The Doctor is still missing but he will always come looking for his box. By bringing it here, he will be lured from the dangers of London to this place of safety, and we will melt him with acid."/"Okay, that last part?"/"And we will not melt him with acid."
-"The game is afoot. We're going to need a lot of tea." (Hee, Vastra is Holmes, Jenny is Watson and Strax is Mrs Hudson XD (ETA: AND I just checked credits for the name of the Police Inspector that Vastra and Jenny are talking to at the start. It's Inspector Gregson! \o/)
And all the rest of everything they do, ever. Yes. MORE OF THEM. I don't care if the Doctor is stuck in Victorian England for half of Series 8 to get it, just more of them.

Honestly, though, I love the books and reading chair on the side gantry thing (though if they ever have to run around the gantries that chair could get someone killed, and the lighting and coloring seems reasonable, but other than that it didn't seem hugely different. Still has the Gallifreyan Stargate thingy up top. Will have to see more of it in action.

I can only think it was the writer's way of trying to put Clara into the shoes of supposed young viewers who have never seen "old Who" and don't get why their young heart throb just got old. :P
