Here goes nothing...

... and it really is nothing, dammit all!

Well for pete's sake. I thought I had the "Posting pre-formatted text" thing worked out, turns out I don't. Arg. So after an hour of horsing around between three different programs and two different websites, still no joy, and no re-post of anything from the fanfiction.net page. Gnrtz.

I'll beat this thing yet, though. Just not tonight, because evil nasty work is waiting for me at gawd awful o'clock tomorrow AM. Grr.

I was also thinking of posting something about the Supernatural Season 2 premiere here, but after watching the premiere, my brain is still dribbling out my ears, and most of it has landed over on the TWoP forums already.

(Yes, I know no one is reading this, and yes I do talk to myself a lot. It helps me think, or keeps the cat amused, or something.)

Good luck getting everything set up. It took me FOREVER fiddling with mine to get it to finally cooperate.

Just wanted to wander over and check out your journal. Someone turned me on to your hysterical Dorky Dance icon ... it's the GREATEST. I thought the photos were funny until I saw your icon.

Hope you're going to post icons here. Yes? Yes? If you are, can I friend you? Cause, like, did I mention your icon just cracked me up?

Yeah, I remember being squeaky new, too. You want some SPN recs of places to hang here for the fandom? If yes, let me know and I'll send you some for both some good fics and some good journals and communities.

Considering you've only made six icons, and I've grabbed two of them and told everyone I know how brilliant you are, I'd say you've got a pretty good success ratio going thus far. :D

Good luck with the figuring out how to repost stuff here. I've had a hell of a time with the RTF editor AND the character length limits. They task me every time I post. There are searchable FAQs on most questions about how to do stuff under your "my lj" tab that I found to be VERY helpful on most every subject ... except how to get the RTF editor to quit screwing with me every time I have a line that ends italicized.

Big LJ thing (just a head's up, as it bit me when I was still squeaking), almost all the comms and stuff want you to post any long posts under a cut line, and it helps when you show up on people's friends pages, too. I don't always do it myself (on my journal, although I always do at the fic comms), but I sometimes get bitched at for that, too. And looks like you've already mastered that part of the game, which was a HUGE problem for me, so I think you're probably well in hand.

I'm friending. I'll look forward to your fic spams. If you want a good forum for those, you might want to check out the supernatural_fic community. They seem to be a clearing house for most of the SPN fic that hits the LJs.

Hm. I don't think I get the RTF editor using Safari, just plain html/text.

If you do, it's just a single line under the input box that says click her to switch to the RTF editor. I didn't know it was there for some time, but once I found it, I started using it instead of the html. But if you've done html stuff a fair amount, you probably won't have the same kind of trouble remembering the coding for creating links and such.

If you get a stream of cursing from me, you'll know it didn't :-D

LOL. Sounds like we are well suited friends. ;)

Oh yeah, and I noticed your NO SPOILERS alert, so I thought I'd show you this icon. Grab it if you want to use it, just credit roguem for making it, as it is her work. :D

Isn't it a gas? I've see a lot of spoiler icons, but never one that actually captured the way I feel about spoilers until this one. Heh.
