Well happy freaking birthday to me.

Got a call and a vague yet urgent message from the property manager at quarter after 8 AM today. Spent 90 minutes fending off a panic attack trying to get hold of him to find out what was going on, because his phone line was going to the answering service until 9 am, and then he was not in the office and I had to wait for a callback.

The landlord is putting the place on the market. I need to take time off work to let a realtor in to take pictures of the place, and then more time off work to let random people wander around in it whenever they feel like it. I've been through this crap twice before and the situation pretty much triples my regular anxiety levels. I really don't need that, especially considering tax season is in more than full swing and I'm already drowning trying to keep up with the crap at work.

In short, I'm probably going to move rather than put up with this bullshit again. Somehow.

Thanks. The last time this happened I bought an apartment. There was nowhere available to move to with a cat. I lost about a good year's wages when I sold that place last year since the market had gone to hell. I'm kinda glad buying a place isn't an option, but there are very few rentals available in this town.

My lease is up in June I think, so it's okay for timing that way, but I have to think about this and find out what the renting options are. I haven't given notice yet, but It's pretty certain they won't be having me sign another lease If I'm here past June 1 which should keep the lease from being an issue.

Oh man, that is absolute crap. I was in a similar position with my first flat, and it's no fun at all. Having to tidy up and make it look nice so that photographers can take nice pictures that make people want to buy the place YOU live in? Unfair.

Yeah, I've been in this position before and the realtors around here have zero respect for tenants rights or privacy. It also doesn't help that I'm dealing with a massive workload right now, and between that and coping with depression, anxiety and medical issues, cleaning often goes by the wayside. :-/

Oh yes indeed. No confirmation on the termination of the rental on the landlord's end yet or not, but since word of this came down almost exactly 2 months before the lease is up for renewal, the writing is on the wall. Even if someone who did want it as a rental bought it, the likelihood they'd want me in here paying the grandfathered rent I am is laughable.

Yep. I hate realtors from all angles now. And this time I'm not even going to have a car. Positive side of this is most of my books are still in boxes in a pile in the middle of the living room, so that's stuff that's already packed up.

Yeah really. It sucks, but at least there's a little lead time, so it could definitely be worse.

I also don't know if this will get through since the new livejournal TOS is keeping me out. I can't even back up my posts. Baaaaah this is all so annoying. I've also been so busy I'm like days behind on tumblr and haven't read any posts so thank you for commenting because I am living in an enforced involuntary social vacuum right now and I am having difficulty coping.

It's the new TOS from the severs moving to Russia. This TOS apparently has some clauses about agreeing to abide by Russian laws, including their obscenity laws and their restrictions on political discourse. I don't feel like I know enough about what it's asking me to agree to to agree to it, particularly given the track record they have with LGBT matters. I know it's just a TOS and all that, but I'm thinking of Leaving LJ and deleting it all because of some of the stuff the TOS seems to be saying.

It's been a wretched several days.

Yeah, under the same name, but the importer I used stripped the filters off most filtered posts and posted them as general f-lock, so I'm going to have to go manually through and make sure the worst of it is cleared out of general view before I start friending anyone back.

I have a dread fear that it may also have switched personal lock posts to general f-lock, thought I'm almost certain it hasn't. There's just a ton of painful ugly that needs to never be seen by anyone, you know?

I think it might have preserved them if you did it through some methods, but the one I used, the filter had to be set up at DW as well at the time of import for it to work, and I didn't realize until afterward.

I'm home from work now, so I have to go clean everything tonight, because the weekend's plans for cleaning were hopeless and the realtor is coming by for the first viewing tomorrow after work. Blaaaah.

I suppose I could try but I want to keep the same name. I suppose I could delete everything there and try again but I'm not sure what all might happen. I know it won't import things with polls, and I need to figure out a way to download and reboot my LJ scrapbook (and then recode all the entries with graphics to redirect to the new location. Arg. This isn't a good month for time to do anything but survive. I'll figure it out eventually though.
