Re: 3.11

Just noticed this:

The street they're walking down in "Mystery Spot", the one with the dog? Is the exact same location as the corner Sam saw Jess on at the end of Bloody Mary. See the blue "Taverna" sign? Corner of Moncton and first in Steveston, BC, which is a suburb or something of Richmond.

It was just something I noticed, and thought it was cool. Yay, Steveston! The go-to location for frigging with Sam's mind! :-)

In other news, I've been lumbered with 300 double-sided pages of boring work-related crap to study at home before work Monday, and am going to have to stop avoiding it soon, because while I've cleaned the house, washed the cat and made enough chili to last for weeks, the guilt about avoiding the work crap is killing my brain for writing or thinking thinky thoughts about anything interesting. So I may as well get the OMG-shoot-me-now boring crap out of the way. Blech. :-P

hahaha yeah I noticed that the first time through! and the section JUST after Dean dies for the "final" time in the episode and Sam's driivng the car? that huge tree is the one that they came aroudn when they first spotted the bridge, and where we meet the dead guy in the Pilot episode (when Jericho California is up on the screen) lol

oh the random things we notice eh?

[identity profile] phoenix-rose-up.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
haha i thought of that too, but the car was going the opposite direction and the only time the Impala passed the tree was during the day!

and yes, tons of reused car-going-somewhere shots.. probably keeps the budget down quite a bit

uhhhh its when Sammy's driving the car (they pan in to show us Sam driving) but the external shot looks like its only one person in the car... I'll have to go rewatch MS now lol

and those are all good points.. I'll have to go look now as Im watching the tail end of season 1 and attempting to write an essay.. the essay isnt happening so much... hope the boring work stuff is going better *L*

haha i feel your pain.

I totally want to watch the episode again now! Oh...wait...I have to wait untl Monday...joy. I could just look at screencaps...hm no, I'll wait.

HOLY CRAP. Sorry my computer totally just went spastic and my screen keeps flickering and it's starting to scare me....

Anyway...oh I love the boring work crap. Not. (this flickering thing is really distracting....now I hear EVP from something, wth). I...need to do homework. But I can find a million other things to do. Like..wash my car. Don't you just love inventing things to do to avoid the boring stuff?

[identity profile] spndpfrdcrck.livejournal.com 2008-02-17 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...I invent things so I don't have to do the things I need to do. But I work better under pressure, so it works out...most of the time....other times I realize how much crap I have to do and freak out and can't stop freaking long enough to get it all done

Hey, procrastination is an art form, especially on the net, and especially in fandom!

You can tell your work-people that you're an artist and can't be bothered with work crap. You can tell them I said so ;P

I feels your pain, CK!! The best way to deal with tons of work is to...post idle things on LJ. Time-tested and successful.

Luckily, a couple situations I had going sort of resolved themselves (and I'm ignoring the rest). This 3-day weekend is working out mostly excellently, so far - the chapter is 5/6 done, and I can start the next one tomorrow. With luck, will get back on track so I can actually make use of Le Awesome Betas.

Meanwhile, may you have success dealing with the 300 pages of yuck.
