... If anyone ever asks me why I love Jensen Ackles as an actor, that picture (number 11) of Jensen kneeling and leaning against the door or whatever that is? That quiet moment of him putting himself mentally where he needs to be for the scenes that are coming up?

That. Right there. That's why.

Aside from that, the picture of Jensen hanging against that green screen (number 3) may have traumatized me more than the final image of Dean in Hell. O.O I guess I figured he was just standing in front of the screen for that shot and they'd CGI'd the floor out. I hadn't realized... hoo. That caught me off guard. Wow. That's dedication.

Jensen Ackles frigging rocks. Not that that's a news flash for anyone. :-)

OMG, Jensen is SO AMAZING!!! lol, those green-screen pics - dedication, but I was looking at #3 thinking "Wow, that setup looks expensive! Can we afford that?"

The green screen setup is likely done at a central facility a bunch of productions use. Supernatural would be probably be renting time on a pre-set sound stage; it's not like they had to buy all the cameras and gear there.

Let's see. 3 million watchers every Thursday, call about 1/5th of those actual fans. Then count in all the international fans in all the countries Supernatural airs in. Maybe, what, a million fans world wide?

Now. Get everyone to send a buck (or a loonie, or a pound, or a ruble or whatever) to Kripke. There's a million bucks. (Ish.)

Seriously though, I'm debating sending them office supplies, or a case of duct tape when they start shooting again, to assist the budget.

I will totally chip in for duct tape! I love duct tape. Especially when put to use as it was intended to be used: to bind Jared Padalecki to a chair. ;D

That picture and the report from one of the cons from Jim Beaver... I keep thinking I can't possibly be more flat-out awestruck by Jensen and how much he puts into his work, and then I turn around and wham! There's even more proof of acting awesomeness bursting forth, and I'm stunned and awestruck all over again.

It might be mentioned in more detail in some of the other con reports but I haven't ventured too far into recent convention report stuff because I was avoiding finale spoilers.

And the one where he's grimacing, and the one you noted where he's sagging against the wall/door... it's no wonder he had to release the tears off screen. And that's also a good illustration of why I feel what Dean's feeling on screen. Dayum, he's good.

He's astoundingly good, and it just floors me the amount of very deep work he puts into this role. Just... yeah. Dayum.

Man, I figured he was lying on a green surface and they were shooting him from above... hanging? That looks uncomfortable (though how bad is it that I giggled "hee! Tummy!" to that pic where they're adjusting his harness?)

The one where he's on the ground outside, grimacing... rehearsal? I can't place it...

I think the grimacing one is from the dream sequence at the start, being chased by HellHounds.
