Retail therapy is good for the economy.
Nothing brightens up a crap day like new toys reference material arriving in the mail. I now have The Doctor Who Encyclopedia (...so...shiny...) and the Supernatural Season 2 Companion, and a wodge of credit card debt I didn't really need, but meh.
I also have "Bone Key" but given reviews I've seen, I'm viewing that as the slightly suspect lima bean lurking in the pie. However, I like lima beans, so... *shrug* It's all going in my teetering 'To Read' pile, but I may be forced to keep the Encyclopedia handy for quick reference. ;-D

I'm in the middle of "The Given Day" by Dennis Lehane. Awaiting my attention: Big Stevie King's new collection of short stories, "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls, and Obama's memoir.
Tie-in novels are like Twinkies. No actual nutrition, but the sugar can be an amusement.

I dunno, I've had some pretty bad Twinkie Literature. :-P It's on the teetering to-read pile, and I'm going to have to at the very least get through Witches Canyon first. And I'm not starting on that til after something else, and it's pretty much all on hold until I finish writing some fic. :-P

Bone Key's not too bad. Not as good as the stuff we read online for free, but digestible. And it's the boys. In a book. Love the boys. Love books. All good.

I broke down and got the Season 1 & 2 companions....hey! that makes us newly-arrived-SPN-season 2-companion-buddies!! :D
(I made myself feel less guilty by getting Gok's books at the same time which I'd seen for twice the price in Ireland, so.... :D)

Yay! Of course, I'm hiding from my copy because I fear the plot-bunnies that may be lurking within. The corrall is overflowing.
