Passing the word along
Added this to the link compilation post, but this needs its own entry:
The Manners family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The American Cancer Society in Memory of Kim.
(http://www.cancer.org) - via
anteka
When it asks for a name and address to send notification cards, use:
*Marlene Manners or Manners Family
C/O Supernatural Films Inc.
8085 Glenwood Drive
Burnaby, B.C.
V3N 5C8
Canada
That's the address suggested by
anteka, she'll be getting confirmation tomorrow.
*Concern has been expressed about whether Mrs. Manners first name is spelled Marlene or Marline, so perhaps use "Manners Family" or "Mrs. M. Manners" instead until there is confirmation.
ETA: To get it to accept the Canadian recipient address on the donation website, put "Burnaby, BC" in where it says city, and put the alphanumeric postal code in for the ZIP.
Anyone with a Non-US credit card will not be able to go through the website for donations; they will likely need to call the ACS directly at: 1-800-227-2345
Spread the word, gang.

What is the postal rate from the U.S. to Canada? Do we just use a regular first-class U.S. stamp?

One thing that might be nice, I think, if you are sending a letter or card, to help defray costs for the set to send things back into the states, if you can, include an International Reply coupon. With this they're going to have a lot of extra mail to forward; that way, they can pay for the extra postage to do so.

My own name is often spelled incorrectly, and if it was me, I'd kinda like have the cards spelled right. So, like, I know she won't be a hater if they're spelled wrong, but if we know how to spell it we should probably get the word out.
(This post isn't to be bitchy or anything, just to inform. The internet can be hard to read people's intent, so I want to make sure you know I'm not just correcting to be crappy.)
