News: Naming a Space Station Module

I'm passing this along on the off-chance there are any Browncoats on my f-list (although if you're a Firefly fan, you probably already know this). NASA has a public poll up to name a new module that's going to be part of the International Space Station. One of the name options on the poll is "Serenity". You can vote here.

I wasn't too surprised at that. There is a strong Browncoat/NASA connection, plus 'Serenity' fits well with the names of the other two modules.

I own the DVDs but have still never watched them, primarily because I don't have the focus to add another major fandom to my plot-bunny sources. One of these days I'll watch them though.
