Practical can be fun too. I guess.

Well, since I begged asked months ago to have today off (because I thought it would be the day after the SPN finale only it turned out it wasn't *facepalm*), I've been doing unbearably practical things with it like medical appointments and setting up routers and epic cleaning and such.

However, I did take a 15 minute walk between appointments and took some pictures. Thought I'd share.

Pretty pictures! Good use of an off day :)

Those up close flower shots are REALLY pretty. Wish the bmble bee hadn't flown the coop as it were. :)

And the panorama shot is AWESOME. My camera will do panorama (supposedly) but I can't figure out how to make it do it. And of course the "owner's manual" is actuality a cd for the computer that I can no longer find. Boo.

Nice pics, but where's the ones of Chaos? *black kitty grabby hands*

[identity profile] malevolent73.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
WOW on the panorma shot. I couldn't tell AT ALL that you had manipped it together. That is really cool. I also meant to say, "the moutains in the background are beautiful and I like the colorful overturned boats."

*waits to see if kitty will pose*

Awww, he's so cute. And doing well I presume? *cyberpets*

So glad to hear it. :) (And yeah eating vs. not eating? There's a clear winner there. *g*)

Guh. So beautiful.

Harbour! Large amount of water! Green grass!

I love my mountain, but I miss living close to the sea. And to live somewhere that's not in drought, where grass is green ...

Melbourne, the big city, is on Port Phillip Bay, but I'm about an hour north of that. I grew up in a bayside suburb, where I spent lots of time walking along the beach, and I still really miss having the sea within walking distance.

Gazebo within gazebo made me grin :-)

I am so jealous of you for getting mountains like that. Wow. So beautiful! Also, sailboats are love.

[identity profile] teithiwr.livejournal.com 2009-05-24 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
Dang, wish there was room for mountains over here, I'd order some in a second! :) Then again, I do live by the sea, even though it's not quite as spectacular, so I shouldn't complain, perhaps.

[identity profile] teithiwr.livejournal.com 2009-05-24 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
I'll do that! It's truly nothing too spectacular, but it does get very pretty in summer. I'll post pics when I get some nice ones! I'm in the process of making a post with mist pics, but you can't exactly see the sea in those...

Marvelous pictures :)
Nearly looks like you were on vacation in Tirol or Kärnten (Austria). Where did you really take them?

[identity profile] irismay42.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooh you have blue sky! We don't get that very often in England...

It's funny--I did the same thing as you yesterday, went for a walk on the lake and took a bunch of pics. The panorama thing is great, mine does the stitch thing too:) Wonderful pics;) Yes, I am also signing up for LJ this weekend, just so you know, A keeps emailing me..lol

Hey there
Lurking Wombat here. I head over to the Gazebo and shoot it with a +1 arrow and attack it with my +5 sword of Ogre Killing :) What?! Nothing is happening? :)
Great pics and glad you got out for a nice walk around the water.
Hope you get a chance to do it again soon. And thanks for the pic of Chaos :) Very glad he is doing better
Though i have to say, i am disappointed that you didn't get a picture of a grassy knoll ;)
hugs
