It's a conspiracy.

Firstly, I was told earlier this week that I'll be working very late Thursday night. That being tonight. ETA: With luck and teamwork, I may be out of here by 8:30PM! \o/

Then my VCR decided to go insane. ETA: *crosses fingers*

Then my modem at home died (*glomphs internet at work*), and in order to replace it I have to hit a very small window of time when the ISP storefront is open and when I am not at work. Looking like Friday morning at the earliest. ETA: Have new modem, yay for it being included in the ISP contract, because otherwise I'd be 'netless until April. Will see if it works with the old Mac later tonight! \o/

It seems like some force in the universe doesn't want me watching tonight's Supernatural. ETA: *resists taunting the 'Force in the Universe', since there's still a chance things could fail at the last minute*

Well tough. It will happen. Not sure when, but I will watch this episode. Oh yes.

ETA: Half an hour to air-time on the East Coast unless my math is off, so going into hermit-mode. Catch up with y'all later!

I have the absolute dead cheapest no-frills cable package, the one that's so low-ball I don't think they even offer it anymore. I've only still got it because my subscription is grandfathered.

It's as cheap as they get; their new 'basic' package is ten dollars a month more, and my budget doesn't have that much space.

I'm doing my damnedest to make it un-bite, and managed to sneak into town long enough to swap out the dead (and apparently obsolete) modem. Won't know if it agrees with the old mac until I get home tonight, but it's a start.
