The yay of the day.
-Link courtesy of
lurkingwombat: The Hitchhiker's Guide to DALEKS Which has been up for a year and a half and this is the first I've heard of it. If you know what a Dalek is, go watch this immediately, whether you are familiar with the Hitchhiker's Guide or not.
-Courtesy of upgrading my cable to digital, I now have access to the CW again. Actually, I have access to the CW on four different stations, two of which seem to be airing in Eastern Time. Come next season, unless I'm horribly wrong (or more likely stuck at work), I'll be able to watch the new Supernatural episodes simultaneously with the East Coasters. Which is kind of nifty, even though it's doubtful it will really make any difference in when I get to watch it. :-)

Thanks for the rec. That has made me very happy. And slightly more well-informed.

And, getting it on 4 different channels - that might be helpful if one of them decides to air sports. Could be well worth the extra cost on your cable bill.

It's going to be tricky to program the VCR for that though. I'm getting New York, and... Chicago I think? Do either of those have notably fewer preemptions? Worst case, I'll set it for KSTW at 9, They're the CW network I had access to before out of Seattle and I don't recall them ever having a sports preemption.

And yes! You have the CW again! I read somewhere about SN being shown on another channel in Canada... hold on let me find the reference... CHCH (??) now that Sun TV isn't showing it.

It's amazing, isn't it!

I think they might only be available in Ontario, but it was past time for me to switch to digital anyway. :-P

....and now I've spent the last 3 hours wandering through re-igniting that crush on David Tennant.... :D

Also, uh, I've kind of been doing a slow marathon of TenDoc episodes. I went to rewatch 'End of Time' a couple weeks ago, but chickened out and re-watched 'Christmas Invasion' instead and have been slowly going through them all since then. I've got to find the tape with '42' on it before I can continue though.

I hadn't watched 'Buzzcocks' until then.... :D
....heck, now I want to watch all the Ten episodes again too....and also Nine (I do love Christopher Eccleston). And possibly Blackpool. And Casanova (you've seen that, yes?). And Hamlet.
or perhaps just listen to a loop tape of Tennant using his Scottish accent.... *melty brain* *ahem* sorry, got a little distracted there....
Tennant really is awfully good though, isn't he?

Well... I don't know if he does them in his natural accent, but I've heard he's done some audiobooks...

If he has done audiobooks in his natural accent....well, actually it depemds what the books are :D I may have to let someone else know though.... :)

Ha! I'll see if it can be tracked down then.

Here's a list of seven titles; it seems to be all Doctor Who, so probably not in his natural accent, but still.
