(It's now complete! starjenni's epic post 1.03 tag is now complete, so there's no danger of getting to the end of a chapter and gnawing off your appendages before the next one comes and stomps all over your heart again some more. I put this in pre-slash because my mind was so blown by this story I couldn't recall if anyone had sex in it or not. o.O)

(Very NC-17. Also very romantic. These two writers' styles blend seamlessly, and the setting and background characters are richly detailed. The entire 17K fic is achingly beautiful and sensuous. Be sure to read the preceding fic before reading this one.)
