(A plausible backstory for how Lestrade met Sherlock, and co-incidentally, Mycroft and they aren't really conspiring to drive Lestrade insane, but it sometimes feels like it.)

(Wherein Sherlock is an actual friend towards Molly in his own uniquely disturbing way, but tries not to let on, and Molly gets to vent. Disturbingly.)

Summary: John Watson is Death. He wasn't supposed to kill the cabbie at the end of A Study in Pink, Sherlock Holmes was supposed to die that night. But Sherlock's still alive and now the world is starting to fall apart.
(It's a Four Horseman AU that at the end, you may wonder if it isn't canon. Or hasn't always been canon. Brilliant, brilliant 17.5k Big Bang, and be sure to check out the associated art by togsos and venturous. It's been recced many times by other people since being posted, but I just got around to reading it and I can't not rec this fic.)

Summary: Mycroft's superiors in Military Intelligence have decided to put a stop to his little side projects, such as kidnapping his brother's flat-mate and dating Inspector Lestrade.
(PG - Romance, Mycroft/Lestrade. This story involves an AU concept regarding the Holmes family that I would love to see the author expand on in more stories. It's also rather rare to see Mycroft in this much trouble with an authority figure.)

Summary: In which there is a misunderstanding, Sherlock goes on a series of dates, and John is confused.
(PG - Kissing, assorted dating, Sherlock/John. Sometimes it takes a lot of clues before John catches on, but he gets there in the end. An interesting re-take and reference to some ACD!canon, no need for familiarity, but those who know it will spot it.)

Yay! So tempted to read them now at the library. So, so tempted.

They are all worksafe (depending of course on your workplace's opinion on men kissing each other and people torturing corpses) so I don't think any of them would shock the library. "Come and See" is a bit long for a quick view though, so save it for when you have a bit of time to settle in because it might eat your brain. :-)

So, for my birthday, today we took the dog to a dogpark for the first time and I made my mom watch A Study in Pink. She actually found it entertaining, and thought John&Sherlock were creepy. *hee*

I may be able to convince her to watch the rest of the show, too.

Awww, thank you. What's funny is that my school didn't accept my birthday until the seventh grade. The computer just refused to believe that it existed, so all my teachers thought it was the 28th.

No, when your birthday is on the 29th, then on the non-leap years you get two birthdays. (Or at least that is how one leap year baby told me.) People give you cake on the 28th and March 1st.
