Thanks to astrothsknot, I now have a Dreamwidth page. I'm staying with LJ until it implodes, so don't fret about me disappearing. Mainly it's to park my name and another mirror of this site, (except I managed to screw up the import thing and wound up with two of damn near every post, and now I need to go through and delete all the duplicates, but whatever) which I'll hopefully remember to keep updating.

One of the infamous Lurkers is no longer lurking! She is now ciaranbochna! She's awesome, and she's already posted a Harry Dresden fanficlet (or possibly prologue...?) calledWaiting! I don't know anything about Harry Dresden, but it's intriguing regardless.

Warnings: SO. MUCH. CRACK. Horribly, horribly wrong iambic pentameter. Also, uh... spoilers for Hamlet? o.O
Disclaimer: None of the characters or settings are mine. Both Tolkien and Shakespeare might rise up and haunt me for this one, but hopefully they won't sue.
Summary: Denmark, Riddermark, what's the difference, really?
A/N: Apparently the weird things are hopping. This was started for the Gen Battle back in February. custardpringle had posted the prompt "Merry, Pippin, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern - fallen into the wrong story" The other side of the swap is here, sort of. This one went less 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead' and more straight-up Hamlet. I'm not happy with the end but I suspect that will never change, so I'm posting and running away.

When you're writing, do you have things you use as 'placeholders'? Like there's a phrase or scene or line that you haven't got yet, or something is needed to transition from one thing to another and you haven't got it yet, but the next section is jumping up and down for attention, or you're hitting a wall. What do you use in the spot where something is missing?
