New Years Party Post!!
All right! I know 90% of the world is asleep/already in 2009, but it's still 2008 for me for a few hours and due to treacherous roads and me being a giant chicken, I can't get to the awesome get-together with the Lurkers (wave hello Lurkers! Pick a name and shout out!).
Sooooo, this is an open invitation; pop in, say hi, muse, ponder, be random, chat amongst yourselves, contemplate the year past, dance around wearing a lampshade, whatever. This is as close to an online New Year's Eve party I can manage, so if you're concious, frolic, dammit! Woo!
*pours virtual tea/coffee/booze and puts the virtual Karaoke machine on 'random'*
ETA: I have yet to discover a song in my current play list that my 'Jared dancing' icon does not seem to synch with. It's a little freaky, but right now I've got 'Hamster Dance' playing and am giggling like a mad thing.

Weeeelll, I cheated and Googled it. I was going to say German but that would have been... totally different actually. :-)
She is such a Swede lady :)
Har, har, har. Did she smack you for that? :-)
she is jealous that you have Ikea shelves. So is the red-headed lady :)
They're kind of weird (the shelves, not the people), like they're not really shelves, but a sort of frame thing, and the wall you attach it to makes the back of the shelves...? They're really odd. Going to be a while before I put them up, because it's not like I can easily shift them elsewhere afterwards. And I'm trying to figure out how they work without things falling out.
This was a cool idea :) :)
Yeah, it's not as good as being there would have been, but it's definitely been fun. :-)

Catching up f-list, doing random bits of surfing, listening to stuff on iTunes, doing bits of writing, might pop in a dvd and watch with headphones if I don't fall asleep at the keyboard for a while yet.
