Tis the season, etc.

I have the best of intentions, I do. I also have several Christmas/holiday/winter fics started, (some started years ago,) based in Supernatural, Torchwood, and now Sherlock, that I keep intending to finish in time for Christmas Eve. One day, I'll finish something, post it on time, and either everyone will either drop dead from shock or no one will even remember the fandom. :-P

In case you are really bored though, here are a couple of Christmassy/wintery things I've written previously for Supernatural.

-Eye of The Beholder - [PG] The true value of a gift is entirely subjective. Teen!chesters
-The Film - [PG13] An unexpected find triggers some holiday reminiscences for Dean and Sam. Set in Season 2.
-Desperate Times - [PG13] Snow, a remote cabin, and small arms fire. DRABBLE. Humor

Things have been hectic today, there is home stuff and family stuff and personal stuff to deal with, and I'm hoping I can get away with staying home in pre-Christmas Day lockdown and get things done and de-stress from the past week and not need to deal with people or shopping. Nothing is wrapped, I don't know if I'm missing stuff for anyone yet, but the traditional last thing Christmas Eve wrapping session will be happening in a few hours, while half-watching It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas, even though it won't take that long to wrap everything, there isn't much and I wrap like a badly-trained gorilla.

Right now, the carpet is as clean as it gets and the laundry is laundrying. I've brewed a whole pot of chai and I'm going see what I can get done off the list of things to get done before the family stuff all day tomorrow.

It's raining, and a cold wind is blowing in gusts, and every few minutes another flight of geese or trumpeter swans goes overhead, honking. It's very Christmassy.

Have a good one if you're doing one, and a good whatever if you aren't. :-)

Thanks and the same to you from the Library Elf :)
Going to have J over soon and watch Christmas specials like:
Yogi's First Christmas, Christmas in Pac-Land, Cobra Claws are Coming to Town (YO JOE!), The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, and later tonight a black and white show called A Christmas Carol. The actor has the last name of Sims so i am thinking it is the guy who played the Master in Doctor Who?
Have a good night.
hugs and Merry Merry,

Mom and I are having cider and watching "It's a Wonderful Life." I will watch Baryshnikov's Nutcracker once she goes to sleep, as I always do;) Wrapping. Yeah, I should do that today *facepalm* Going to watch "A Christmas Carol" too I think. Mom is about to roll out my paternal grandmother's cinnamon buns (the ones I have the scar on my thumb from trying to grab dough when I was little). Known to make grown men's eyes roll back in their head, they are.

Oh, I don't know if you get the eastern PBS channel--WTVS (87), but they have a Straight No Chaser concert on a 7:30 tonight, so I wanted to tell you. I also don't own any of their music, which I know is a crime, and I will fix with iTunes post-haste.

I hope you have a bit of quiet in your rushing about, and finish reading "The Dark is Rising";)

Hugs and love

Sounds good:) I am going to lend my aunt and uncle "The Invention of Hugo Cabret", since they haven't read it and did see the movie (they read things to eachother which is rather neat).

I hope Scrabble and family things go well!

*passes spiked eggnog if needed*

Merry Christmas to you.

I was originally scheduled to work today and yesterday, but I've gotten sick and now I am sitting home not doing much because something is making me dizzy. (Not sure if it is the drugs or the inner ear infection.)

But hey, at least you got some stuff done before the family stuff, right?

Merry Christmas, CK!

I'm watching "A Christmas Story" for the 50th time. Did family stuff last night, and more tonight. Definitely pretty good!

I'd planned on writing a Xmas fic this year too. Yeah. Like that was going to happen.

I hope that you managed to have as peaceful a Christmas as possible. You've probably already written about it, but I'm just now slowly making my way through the enormous pile of emails (I suppose I should be glad it's a virtual pile and hasn't taken over my study) from before Christmas. Crazy, crazy time of year! As always, I'm just relieved I survived!

Have a very happy 2012!
