As a gimmick to get more people to read about emergency preparedness, the CDC (yes, the actual, real world Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the one you hear about in the news, on Bobby's bank of cover identity phones, and on other U.S. TV shows and movies) has put up a page about preparing for a Zombie Apocalypse. Which is about the same as preparing for most other disasters, so in the end it's accomplishing their aim of educating people with a hell of a lot more sense of humour than you'd think you'd find in a government public health agency.
